Dr Thomas Eshun-Wilson has had a solo private practice covering the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay region since June 2010, specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery, plus general ophthalmic services.
In 2020, Dr Wilson surpassed 15000 cataract cases, routinely performing cataract surgery under topical anaesthesia through a 2.2mm sutureless incision, in under 10 minutes.
In November 2013, Dr Wilson pioneered the use of the Ologen® implant in Australia. A small biodegradable collagen matrix implant used during glaucoma drainage surgery to augment the function of the trabeculectomy bleb. Dr Wilson was also the first surgeon in the Fraser Coast to insert both the Glaukos iStents and Hydrus Microstents, micro-incision glaucoma devices.
